Nerd Nite DC - Producer, Host, Partnership Manager

Nerd Nite is a monthly-ish informal gathering at which nerds get together for nerdery of all sorts (well, mostly presentations and drinking). Nerds and non-nerds alike gather to meet, drink and learn something new.

Our usually-sold-out show takes place at the DC9 Nightclub the 2nd Saturday of every month. We do special events from time to time with local institutions.

As the partnerships manager for Nerd Nite, I've produced sponsored shows for the Smithsonian, NatGeo, Leidos, Atlas Obscura, the National Zoo, and more!

The Internet: Live!!1 - Producer & Host

A co-production between my company (ScienceAF) and the cult-favorite indie theatre company The Arcanists, The Internet: Live!!1 was an irreverent, fast-paced gameshow that explored internet culture and our connection with our digital lives.

I worked with The Arcanists to develop the concept for the show, and then in January 2020, we sat down with five talented artists with varied creative backgrounds (everything from indie game design to stand up comedy), and worked with them to devise ridiculous, competitive games that explored some aspect of how they connected to the internet.

The show ran for one weekend, funded in part by the Arlington Commission for the Arts.
